Create Tasks Manually

How to Create Task Via eWay-CRM Ribbon in Microsoft Outlook

Work with tasks in eWay-CRM is not different as work with other types of items, e.g. journal.

  1. In the eWay-CRM ribbon in Microsoft Outlook, click New > Task.
  2. Add New Task

     

  3. Fill in values that are important to you, e.g. Subject or Due Date. Very important is to select the Solver of the task for more information, go to Delegate Task to Colleague.
  4. New Task

  5. Click Save or Save and Close icon.

How to Create Task From eWay-CRM Item Window (e.g. From Contact)

  1. In the item window (e.g. company, contact, etc.), click Add New > Task.
  2. Add New Task to Contact

     

  3. Item that the task was created from, is automatically filled to task. If the item was project or deal, company and contact from project/deal are filled to task, too.
    You just insert values you need, e.g. Superior Item, Subject or Due Date.
  4. New Task From Contact

  5. Click Save or Save and Close icon.

How to Create Task in Microsoft Outlook (and Synchronize It With eWay-CRM)

eWay-CRM uses standard email and calendar features of Outlook but for tasks, there is a special eWay-CRM module. Tasks can be saved separately in both applications but you can also synchronize them – see Automatically Synchronize Tasks With Outlook. Now, you can work wit your tasks in Outlook as you are used to and they will be saved to eWay-CRM too.

If you make a mistake and open Outlook task window instead of eWay-CRM, do not worry. Nothing is changed.

  1. Select Superior Item.
  2. Superior Item on Task

     

  3. Insert other values that are important for you.
  4.  

  5. Click Save or Save and Close icon.
    Because you have selected Superior Item, task will be automatically saved to eWay-CRM, too. Leaving Superior Item empty, will save task only to Microsoft Outlook.
  6. Save Task in Outlook

eWay-CRM Online

  1. Click the link to create a new task.
  2.  

  3. You will see the new item dialog where you can fill in all values you want. Very important is to select the Solver of the task for more information, go to Delegate Task to Colleague.

  5. If you are done, click Save or Save and Close.
  6. Save task

     

  7. Newly created items will be immediately displayed in the list. If you need to create another task, just click New task right in the list.

Tip – Simplify your work
Starting from version 9.0, eWay-CRM offers features that utilize artificial intelligence capabilities. These features allow for easier creation of items and more efficient work (e.g. QUICKLY Convert Email to Task). You can enable or disable the artificial intelligence features according to your preferences. For more information, see the article Activate / Deactivate AI Features.
Tip on sharing tasks
When you want to share a task, you can start the chat using Teams or send it by email. The buttons are implemented in eWay-CRM.

eWay-CRM Mobile

  1. In the main menu, tap on the + sign.
  2. Add New Item

     

  3. Then, select New Task.
  4. Add New Task

     

  5. The window for creating new task will be opened. Select a contact and its company will be filled.
  6. Fill Fields

     

  7. Then, you can select all other values you need and tap Save in the right top corner.
  8. Save Task

     

  9. The task will be saved and you will see its detail, so you can check values or work with data like contact, reminder, etc.
Tip on quicker task
You don’t have to open eWay-CRM Mobile to create a task. Just tap and hold the icon of the application and you will see a menu where you can select New Task.
