Technical information

eWay-CRM is a plug-in Microsoft Outlook and utilizes Microsoft Outlook Add-In technology to achieve good user experience. Everything takes place in a Microsoft Outlook and employees do not switch between multiple systems.

The architecture is a client-server type. The server is located on a central database of eWay-CRM and web service that manages access and security policy and contain business logic.

The client portion includes a complement to Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft SQL Server Express. eWay-CRM synchronizes at intervals of changes in data between the server and client components, and therefore users are able to work in "offline“ - without having to connect to the server.

The following diagram represents the basic building blocks eWay-CRM.

 

To run eWay-CRM some minimum software and hardware requirements are necessary.

This report contains a list of them:

Server:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 (32 and 64 bit)
  • IIS
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 (32 and 64 bit)
  • Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0 and higher

Client:

  • Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7
  • Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007
  • . NET Framework 2.0 and higher

Hardware: 1GHz CPU or higher, 1GB or higher, 200MB or more free hard drive space (total size determined by the size of the database), 1024x768 resolution, network connectivity

The final hardware configuration for a smooth running system may be higher depending on the number of simultaneously running applications and the number of installed programs.

It is also necessary to have installed the latest update for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
